For over 500 years, Gasthaus Rathaus has welcomed guests. Much has changed over time—its charm has remained.
It is the oldest known town hall of all Walser settlements. One can almost imagine the lively debates that once took place in our historic Gothic council chamber—punctuated by a firm knock on the table and the call for order. What has endured over the years is a deep sense of calm.
You’ll find that same tranquillity in each of our 14 single and double rooms, spread across two floors. Selected rooms feature a balcony, while showers and WCs are shared and located on the corridor.
In return, every room offers views across the valley—over a landscape shaped by the Walser people for centuries, as authentic as it gets.
